Educational Success for Children without Homes Act (HR.1253)

Provides an amendment to subtitle B of title VII of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act and increases education opportunities for homeless youth through some, but not limited to the following measures: the creation of a Federal Office of the Coordinator for Education of Homeless Children and Youths, maintains privacy measures for a homeless youth’s living situation, enroll homeless youth regardless of enrollment deadlines or fees, permit previous school credits to transfer from one school to another, and ensure that all homeless youth are ascribed to the same student achievement standards and are able to participate in all school activities and classes.
