Madeline Daniels

Madeline Daniels is the Senior Director of Communications at First Focus.

Prior to joining First Focus, Madeline worked as a Staff Assistant at the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions. Working alongside leaders in children’s health insurance, youth employment, children’s nutrition, and education, Madeline supported staff with a broad portfolio of oversight and disability policy issues. She was especially active in the Committee’s oversight of for-profit education companies.

Before moving to Capitol Hill, Madeline worked as a reporter in the Twin Cities. She followed local government and politics as a press fellow for the St. Paul Pioneer Press, and art and culture as a public radio reporter. She also blogged for the Twin Cities Business Magazine in a project exploring the relationship between health care and business communities.

Madeline graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota School of Journalism & Mass Communication with a degree in journalism.
